逗号应用标准一

 

report写作语句中包括总数大于等于3的英语单词，短语或是分句时，用逗号将其隔开起来。特别是在联接最后一个因素的并列词以前也再加上逗号。

比如:

Demand for irrigation water is mainly influenced by climate change,the scale and patterns of crop planting,the use of water saving technologies and other such factors.

标点应改成:

Demand for irrigation water is mainly influenced by climate change,the scale and patterns of crop planting,the use of water saving technologies,and other such factors.

强烈推荐表述为:

Demand of irrigation water is mainly influenced by climate change,the scale and patterns of crop planting,the use of water saving technologies,and other factors(and so on).

 

逗号应用标准二

 

语句中持续的短语或是分句最终是以表再次或是省去的短语完毕时，比如「and so forth」「and so on」「and the like」那样的短语，需在其前边再加上逗号。若这种短语后边还连有其他句子成分，则可酌情考虑加上逗号来防止模棱两可。

比如:

Using such techniques,management can improve not only productivity but also hours,working conditions,training,benefits,and so on,without reducing wages.

 

逗号应用标准三

非限定定语语句出現在语句中要用逗号隔开。

 

比如：

The professor,wearing a blue hat,attended the conference.这里「wearing a blue hat」为非限定定语语句，用逗号隔开;

The lady wearing a blue hat is the professor.这里「wearing a blue hat」为约束性装饰，勿应用逗号。

 

逗号应用标准四

 

导游词格式的短语，比如「for instance,for example,in other words，that is」出現在句首时，后边要加逗号;若出現在句中，则前后左右都应用逗号来开展隔开。

比如:

That is,researchers still have hunches and use exploratory methods.

Some methods,however,are particularly well suited to applying all three,for example,grounded theory as explained by……

 

逗号应用标准五

 

语句中出現的连接副词，或是介词短语，都必须用逗号隔开。

 

比如:

Nevertheless,it is a matter of great significance.

Recently a significant effort to model these systems has also examined,in particular,the role of this element in determining the behavior of……

 

逗号应用标准六

 

复合句中的并列词，相近「and,but,or,so,yet」等，联接2个单独语句而且这两个语句在含意上必须一个间断得话，我们在这种并列词前边需再加上逗号。可是假如并列词联接的是并排主语或是宾语则无需加逗号。

 

比如:

Therefore,exploring the factors that influence the irrigation water demand,and quantifying their contribution to that demand could provide insights on controlling the scale of agriculture.

 

应改动为:

Therefore,exploring the factors that influence the irrigation water demand and quantifying their contribution to that demand could provide insights on controlling the scale of agriculture.

 

这里「exploring the factors that influence the irrigation water demand」和「quantifying their contribution to that demand」为该句的并排主语，用and联接可是不用逗号。
